Everyone is talking about digital transformation.
You may even have had the feeling that you are starting to get a bit fed up with this concept.
It’s logical.
The truth is that this concept is the protagonist of countless headlines, talks, courses, and studies… And I often have the feeling that there is a certain infoxication (or what amounts to the same thing: information intoxication).
That is why I have recorded today’s video. Because I am one of those who think that less is more.
If there is one thing I have learned about Industry 4.0, it is that its adoption is neither as simple nor as quick as a snap of the fingers.
Any complex process such as this involves significant time and effort that must be taken into account.
What is certain is that the journey is just as satisfying, if not more so, than reaching the finish line.
Today I’ll tell you what this route is like and what stops you’ll find along the way. My advice is that when you start, try to enjoy the journey, I assure you it is worth it.
When we talk about Industry 4.0 we inevitably think of data.
It is true that thanks to the technologies available to us, we can obtain a large amount of data.
But beware, if we are left with just the data and do not go a step further, we have NOTHING.
Why?
Because data is like a diamond in the rough, it’s wonderful to have, but you have to polish it to make it useful.

In my day-to-day life, I detect a certain amount of confusion regarding the concepts of digitalization and Industry 4.0. Some people think that they are exactly the same thing and… Nothing could be further from the truth! First of all, it is important to know that when we talk about digitalization we are referring to Industry 3.0 and, therefore, it has nothing to do with Industry 4.0.
