In my day-to-day life, I detect a certain amount of confusion regarding the concepts of digitalization and Industry 4.0. Some people think that they are exactly the same thing and… Nothing could be further from the truth! First of all, it is important to know that when we talk about digitalization we are referring to Industry 3.0 and, therefore, it has nothing to do with Industry 4.0.
Among other differences, digitalization and Industry 4.0 share neither the main objective nor the most used technologies and therefore neither the type of products used.
Today I would like to talk about it and shed some light on the issue, in order to distinguish between these two concepts that are too often used as one. For this purpose, I have prepared a video where I explain exactly what the differences are between these two ideas.
